While browsing the app store for more mystery shopping apps, I came across an app called Field Agent. Field Agent partners with individuals or businesses who need information about products, stores, or auditing. When you sign up for the app you become an “Agent” and are eligible to complete jobs for these individuals and businesses.
The Field Agent app offers more than the usual mystery shopper app. Many of the jobs are simple tasks that you perform at businesses around your town (grocery store, supercenters, small businesses). Some jobs can even be completed at home!

What is Field Agent?
Field Agent is an app that allows you to make money with your smartphone by doing quick and simple jobs. A few examples of jobs that you can complete with Field Agent are mystery shopping, price checking an item, auditing, taking a photo of a display, locating an item within a store, or taking a survey about a recent purchase.
The typical job pays between $3.00 and $12.00, but some can pay even more.
The Field Agent app is available for both iPhone and Android users in the following countries:
- United Kingdom
- United States
You can sign up for Field Agent on their website or through the app.
How to Make Money with Field Agent
Once you sign up and open the Field Agent app, you can search available jobs through a list or by map.
Each job in the list has a quick description, location, and the amount you will get for completing the job. Tap the job to view more details about what you will be required to do.
There are a couple different types of jobs you can do with Field Agent. Audits will require you to go to a location to check the status of a product, display, or a section of an aisle. Mystery Shopping jobs require you to gather information while acting as a customer.
For the Scavenger Hunt jobs, the location doesn’t matter, you just have to be able to photograph the specific item they are requesting. You can try and find it at a store or if you already have the item, you can do it from home.
You’ll also sometimes find survey jobs in the list. Some of the surveys require you to go to a store and then fill out the survey, and others you can do from home without going anywhere. They could also be a combination of both.
When you find a job you want to do, just tap the job and select Accept this Job. Make sure you check the Time Allowed before accepting because it can hurt your Agent Score if the time runs out before you can complete the job. On the other hand if you wait too long, someone else may take the job.
If you have a job that requires you to be at a specific location, go ahead and accept the job (so you don’t waste a trip if someone else takes it) then make your way to the location. Some of the jobs won’t let you start viewing the tasks until you are actually there.
Once you begin the job, just complete all the given steps and submit. Most jobs approve pretty quickly, usually by the next day the amount you earned will show up in your account balance.
Field Agent Payout
Once your jobs have approved and you can see the amount reflected in your account balance you can cash out whenever you are ready. There is no minimum payout.
The only payout option on Field Agent is Paypal.
To request your earnings, you have to first go to the website and enter the email address associated with your Paypal account. Field Agent also has a new phone verification process where they text you a code and you enter the code on your account page. You only have to do this one time unless you update your payout method.
After you’ve completed the verification, you can cash out through the app or on the website.
The payout speed has been very fast. I usually receive a notification from Paypal about the deposit within an hour of cashing out.
Field Agent App Review
I have completed 48 jobs so far on the Field Agent app. Some of the jobs I did were screeners for upcoming jobs, surveys, and audits at a nearby grocery store. The audits were kind of fun. I just had to take pictures of a filter section in an aisle and answer a few questions. For another audit, I had to walk around the store to find battery displays and take pictures of them. Both of these were at the same store so it only took about 10 minutes to complete. The audits in total paid me $7.00, which is pretty nice for a 10 minute trip to the grocery store. I even got a free dinner from one job! The job was to buy a pizza, and I was paid for the pizza plus a few dollars more!
Most of the jobs approve the next day, but some may take 2 days. Cashing out is very fast! Once a job is approved and you click to cashout, it normally takes under an hour to deposit to your Paypal.
My experience as a whole has been very positive. Field Agent is a neat app. I enjoy doing the jobs and still look forward to doing more! I’m in kind of a small area, but there are still quite a few jobs available! I do recommend this app if you are looking to make some quick cash because the jobs are easy to complete, the pay is decent for the time, and the payout speed is fast.
