Surveys on the Go Review – Is this Survey App Really Worth Using?

Several months ago, I was on a big survey app kick. I downloaded a handful of apps that claim to pay you for taking surveys on your phone and tried them all to find out which ones were the best.

One of those apps was Surveys on the Go which, according to their website, is “consistently the highest rated, most reviewed survey application on the market.”

Continue reading this Surveys on the Go review to learn more about how it works and to find out if this mobile survey app is really worth using.

What is Surveys on the Go?

Surveys on the Go is an app that pays you to take surveys on your phone or tablet. The surveys are typically about your opinion of different types of products in order to facilitate market research. You can also turn on location services to get surveys based on places you’ve been.

Surveys on the Go is available for both iPhone and Android for users in the United States.

How Does Surveys on the Go Work?

Surveys on the Go AppOnce you download the app and sign up, there are a few demographic surveys you can do for $0.50 each. These demographic surveys will help Surveys on the Go target you for future surveys.

To get location targeted surveys, make sure location services are enabled for the app.

When new surveys are available, the app will send you a push notification. It doesn’t seem to notify you all the time though, so you might want to open the app and check every so often.

Some surveys may not credit right away. This usually happens if your submission needs to be reviewed for quality which can take 3-5 days. If your responses do not pass the quality inspection, they can be rejected.

What are the Surveys on the Go codes? The app says that “Codes are issued when specific audiences are invited to participate in surveys.” Other than that bit of information, I can’t find much else about the codes. If you have received a Surveys on the Go code, let me know how it worked!

Surveys on the Go Payout

Surveys on the Go PayoutThe minimum payout for Surveys on the Go is $10.00.

Once your balance reaches $10.00 and above, you can cash out to Paypal.

On the Surveys on the Go website it says that payments to a verified Paypal account will be instant.

Is Surveys on the Go Worth it? No

Surveys on the go app no surveysI don’t usually review things until I have cashed out at least once. But, with Surveys on the Go, I don’t feel like I will ever make it to the minimum payout. The screenshot on the right is all I ever see. Every now and then, a survey will appear, then disqualify me 5 minutes into the survey. It is pretty frustrating.

I have had the Surveys on the Go app installed for around 5 months now, and my balance is $3.80. I did read some reviews on the App Store of people getting high paying surveys on this app. But, there are also a lot of reviews with the same problem I have had with not getting any surveys.

If I could reach the minimum payout in my lifetime, that would be great. Because I really like that this app pays in Paypal and the payments are supposedly instant. It would be better if the minimum payout was much lower considering how long it takes. I’ll update this review for the Payout time if I do happen to get there.

From my experience so far, I would not recommend the Surveys on the Go app as a good way to make extra money. There are other survey apps that are worth the time and have more surveys available.

Have you tried Surveys on the Go? How did it work for you? Tell me about it in the comments!

You are the only one among millions of reviewers who has given an honest feedback on this app. You are absolutely right. I totally agree with you. I don’t want people to waste time on this . This is just useless.

Me too!! I’ve had two Starbucks gift cards, (each $10), and a Target gift card. Working on my Disney one now… about a third of the way there.

Not bad at all considering I only use it when I’m bored or waiting for something.

I know there aren’t a lot of surveys but I just completed a mission for $25 the pay out is definitely better than other apps I use. I earned about 50.00 in a month.

I’ve had this app since February. I’ve only got $9.10 built up. The minute I reach $10 I’m cashing out and deleting the app. This app is not worth it. I’ve yet to find a decent survey app, or any app that promises a bit of money to be honest. They all lie.

Try grabpoints… yes sotg sucks, iv had it for what seems like forever and only have 8.30 built up, but….on grabpoints iv cashed out quite a few times for more than just PayPal cash and the minimum to cash out is 3000 points. You can make that in an afternoon. Just wanted to spread the word about gp, it really is a great app unlike sotg.

Inbox dollars is great too, takes 30 bucks for payout, they charge you 3 to cash the check and mail it, but then credit you the 3 bucks back. After your first payout you become a gold member, meaning double sweeps and a slice of the no-referal-new-member-pool. I’m working on my 3rd payout. There are tons of ways to earn… avoid the spam loops… otherwise, the paid email, TV, groupon… coupons, and so much more.

I got a 5 days survey that was very long and asked for paragraphs of explanation on each answer. It was about Siri and messanger apps. It paid out $15 just for the one survey. I am trying to get my to $20 before I cash it. I like the app.

I agreed, I thought, surely I will ditch it once I get my payout. But I ended up keeping it. The cash plus thing is annoying, and a battery drainer, but I’m giving it another shot. Ithe have actually takenot less time to reach my current earning this time than the first. I do certainly are other apps pay out better, like slide joy and inbox dollars, but I figured I may as well keep it. Same with panel app…

I have had the app for a year. I got my husband to just recently down load it. I think being a member longer and doing more surveys qualifies you for more higher dollar surveys. Example: I’ve gotten 5 or 6 $15-$20 surveys in the past few months. He’s gotten 2. Most of our time is spent in the same locations and I will get more location alerts than he will. Just this past weekend, we stayed in the same hotel and I got a $20 survey alert for the hotel as soon as I walked in. He never got it. But he will get the restaurant alerts like I do. The more high-dollar surveys you complete, the more they give you. I have already cashed out once for about $40. I’m back up to $90 now and will cash out once I hit $100.

Keep with it – the money is there!

I’ve only had the app for a couple of months and already up to 82 bucks! I did one survey for Verizon that had me answer questions, take pictures and videos for $50! It only took about 10 minutes. Had another best buy one for $20. Very simple easy cash. Have told everyone I know to get it and just stick with it. You do get more payouts the longer you have it.

2 years ago I had an iPhone and cashed out almost $50 bucks in a couple of months but then I switched to android and in 2 years I only racked up 3.45. There are way less opportunities on android than iPhone. I just switched back to iPhone 3 days ago and I’ve already accumulated $2!

I’ve been using this app and quick thoughts for about 3 months. I’ve had one payout on sotg, and about 20 on quick thoughts. Not nearly enough surveys, but i stick to it and every blue moon i get a survey. I spend most of my time on quick thoughts, but it’s still money for answering surveys.

You have to build trust with them, like a relationship. I’ve been using this app for well over a year now and I’ve cashed out numerous times for a total of somewhere near $300. This Holiday season I got a survey for Amazon shopping which was 3 parts and the payout on it is pending for $100 by itself. Be completely honest, especially in the beginning and your opinions become way more valuable to them. Also their customer service is outstanding if you ever experience any issues. Give it time and put in the effort, I promise you this app is one of the better ones out there.
